Blood Angel Furiouso Contemptor

VAGABOND

Recommended Posts

Haven't posted anything in here sometime and decided to stick up my new Contemptor Dreadnought I've been working on for a couple of days. As many of you know I have an all Sanguinary Guard army and after seeing the conversion opportunity with this model I had to work on one of my beloved Blood Angel army. I've converted it intensely and after seeing a few in my local GW I knew I had to make mine stand out from the rest.

And how he's looking just now with his wings attached and touching up on the mould lines with the new Liquid Green Stuff.

Hope you guys like it

Cool idea.

The head does look rather small. Maybe if you added something like a small targetting lens to one side, and a bunch of cables to hold him in the huge socket, it might look bulkier and more like it actually belongs there.

The way the wings on the legs and on the back connect to the body also looks a bit crude right now. You could model a teardrop on the leg guards where the wings are attached to make them resemble a Blood Angel icon.

And some cables on the back to tie in the large wings in some mechanical way might help make them look less organic and demonic.

I'll have to disagree with you guys regarding the head, I reckon the head is fine as it is and the idea of the wings on the legs was to resemble him being part of the Sanguinary Guard and I was originally gonna use a Relic Pattern but it wasn't available to us at Throne Of Skulls.

It's your mini, dude. I was just trying to give you some useful criticism.

Yeah absolutely mate, I understand what you mean. I wanted to use the Death Mask helmet without having to cut the helm off but there just wasn't space to put it in.

The Dreadnought has had his his armour nearly finished and metalwork all washed so waiting for it to dry.

More pictures coming up soon :(

The model itself looks far better in person than in the photos the armour is done the exact way I did the Sanguinary Guard so he looks the same as his brothers.

Hope you like the pictures guys :P
