Zedrenael
I am an ADVENT Warhammer 40k player. I am also very into my Blood Angels, but I have recently picked up a book or two for Warmachine. If anyone has played that game it is not all that bad. I mean it is a lot more strategy than 40k in terms of movement phase and turn order. Just what has got me thinking is that in Warmachine the war caster (general of an army) has a themed list. That when you take specific units to that generals benefit you get more bonuses to that specific set of army. Now what do people think if the IC in 40k had the same general idea? That if you take Dante for example that if all your troop choices are Sanguinary Guard they gain Heroic Intervention. That would make your list more focused. I do not know what I am thinking I just think that it would make for an interesting game. Eorek
I'd really love that change... Could also make some has more attractive... say that you had a trait you could add to a captain like: Master of ordinance, you increase your heavy support from 0-3 to 2-5 or something like it...(rites of battle?) it would make taking a captain more "fluffy" aswell :) Where a librarian/chaplain would give minor bonuses(librarian already supply some army wide "buffs") like chaplains providing stubborn in melée... But I guess codex marines already have something like it: Chapter tactics so-to-say or the space wolf sagas(a bit minor compared to the chapter tactics...but they are still there) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240623-themed-army-list/#findComment-2905287 Share on other sites

Tier 4 Requirements: The army includes a Reclusiarch Benefit: The army can take 1-3 Chaplains as a single elite choice. Additionally, reduce the cost of chaplains by 25 points. Death Company Terminator Assault Squad.......................................300 Points WS5//BS4//S4//T4//W2//I4//A2//Ld9//Sv2+ Unit Composition: 5 Terminators Unit Type: Infantry Wargear Terminator Armour Lightning Claws Special Rules Black Rage Fearless Feel No Pain Furious Charge Options: Add up to five Marines............................................................................................. .................+60 points per model Any model can replace his lightning claws with a thunder hammer and storm shield.......................+15 points per model They cannot select a dedicated transport. I was wondering what everyone would think of this list and should I make more with the other Unique models. Also to get the benefit of the next tier you must accomplish the requirements for the ones before it. So to get tier 4 army you must include Lemartes, Two Death Company Dreadnoughts, a Reclusiarch, and only things in the list at the top. I will be working on another list here shortly if I get enough interest.
