CainTheHunter
That's probably close to what I'd do. I loves me some scout action, but I still think I'd hold off on the LFs, and I'd get itchy if I only had 1 HQ when I have the option of 4, even if I only took 2. Yeah, Long Fangs are a bit expensive, but they pack a punch. As with the HQ I find that 200+ points for the total cap of 750 points is a bit too much - that's ~ 25% of Your army in characters with I4, who are also hopeless in cc. Of course there is another option, loading straight for thunderwolves - a couple of lords a couple of wolves here and there and voila! - we have already exceeded our point limit  He can still ditch the Long Fangs and get 3 WG (2 for GH and one for scouts) with combimeltas and fists instead (loosing one marine with meltagun per pack). Freman Bloodglaive
We could be extravagant and try to squeeze in a thunderwolf. Wulfebane
I dunno that only two TWCs would cut it for survivability purposes. Despite their attacks, I think they'd get picked off/swarmed too easily. Despite their attacks, I think they'd get picked off/swarmed too easily. But from another point of view - at 750 points there won't be too much things to swarm them. That's all, of course, is relevant, providing that the player is in possession of any TWC models :). Freman Bloodglaive
They're an iconic part of the (new) Space Wolves. I'd run them just because. Blacksad
HQ: 135 pts Rune Priest (Runic Armour, chooser of the slain, Wolf Tail Talisman) Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane Troop: 415 10 Grey Hunters (Rhino, 2x meltagun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen) 9 Grey Hunters (Rhino, meltagun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen) Elite: 200 2x 5 scouts (Mark of the Wulfen, Meltagun (on the same model, so as not to lose attacks in CC)) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240695-greetings-wolf-brothers/page/2/#findComment-2907974 Share on other sites
Max_Dammit
fighting with those TDA bone hea.... colored dudes, id be using lots of GH and scouts to distract the enemy so those TDA's can get in to CC so the list with the huntes, scouts and prist is my best bet, maybe a razor for heavy weapon use and magnet. Scyld Fireblade
They're an iconic part of the (new) Space Wolves. I'd run them just because. They are also incredibly deadly and hilariously fun to field. I run 2 as my lord's, Scyld Fireblade, personal guard. They once pulped 15 Deathwing termies, 6 Ravenwing bikers, and an interrogator chaplain TDA in 3 turns. They also humbled Abbadon and 20 khorne berzerkers in 2 turns. TWC are never easily swarmed.
