ninjaturtlethug
Hello again everyone, it's been quite a while, I was in a slump for a while there but I am back. I have completed 4 models in about as many months, but I feel I've improved my methods. First up I have some devastators, after painting the first one i decided to try some weathering, which I found had the dual effect of highlighting the model! I really think this is a great way to do black and will use this trick from here on out. So what do you all think, line highlighting? Weathering? For me it's no contest, the weathering is as easy as drybrushing silver onto the model, and looks great! My latest and greatest model is a simple conversion I did after finding out that the master of the forge is a great HQ choice in 6th. I already had the bits! I equip him with a power sword is small points games, I find that having a 2+ save and attacks at AP2 AND at normal initiative (but AP3) makes him a versatile duellist. The servo skull you see is magnetized as a wound counter, and if you are wondering about the Iron Halo, well I also magnetized his power sword so that I can swap it our for a thunder hammer and use him as my "counts as" Vaylund Cal. If using him as Cal, I'll also attach a second servo skull to represent his 3 wounds. C&C welcome as always! Not sure what I'll work on next, but expect to see more in a couple months.
