Rogue Trader Techmarine Backpack.

Here's a question for you people who have been in the hobby longer. ^_^

Having gained possession of a RT Techmarine, I ordered him a plastic backpack since he was missing his original one. The thing is, I'm not entirely sure it fits correctly. From here you can clearly see the top of the backpack over his shoulders. I own the one with the Tool box.

That looks more like what's in that Photo. However, the Problem is that there's no slot there for the Pack to fit onto.

That's the Backpack fitting normally and comfortably, but it looks too low down...

Did metal Characters in the RT days have Backpacks with dfferent fittings to the Plastics, and thus need metal backpacks?

Yes, to a point. At some point, they started coming with grey plastic backpacks almost identical to the RTB01 plastic backpack you have there. The only difference was that the grey backpack usually had a flimsy banner pole cast onto it and it *DID* have a mounting hold located about where you would expect it to be, to position it almost exactly how you have it in your upper photo.

 

FWIW, I still have couple of those backpacks kicking around, so I did a quick visual check to make sure.

Thanks for checking that and the info CarbonCopy, I appreciate it. I'll file off the bump to go into the backpack on the figure, then and get it to fit properly.

I used to have that same model years ago. I think you have the pack a little too low in your picture. The rogue trader models were never exactly uniform. Looking from one to next you would often notice the packs were wonky. Just put it on whichever way makes you happy.
