VAGABOND
I finished my Contemptor Dreadnought for my Sanguinary Guard army the other night and I've been getting emails asking me to put pictures of my army online. I've put pictures up before but thought I'd put up more and better quality this time. I'm still working on my Terminators, I know they aren't Sanguinary Guard but every Blood Angel army has to have them in a Thunderpidgeon. I'm also looking for suggestions on what colour to do them, I like the idea of doing them gold but not entirely sure? IronKobra
Me gusta! Very very nice! Great OSL Effect! I am tempted to try it myself in the near future... Any tips?
VAGABOND
I'd advise building it up from a darker colour, the recipe for mine was... 1. Lightly drybrush the selected area with Hawk Turquoise. 2. Another light drybrush with Ice Blue and Hawk Turquoise. 3. Mix Asurmen Blue Wash with Water 30/70. 4. Then over the top of that drybrush Skull White over the centre of the light. Simples -_-
IronKobra
lol, I suppose like most paint techniques it is simple, it's being brave enough to actually stick your brush on a mini! Its all about the placement of the colour, thats the tricky part.

VAGABOND
Thanks man, glad everyone is liking the army. I've been working on and off with this army since June last year and keep adding things to it but I think it could be finishing soon because I have way too projects on atm. I've been working on a Chaos army which I got for free and has been a sideline army that will probably get started soon... beware it is total cheese on toast! :P

Exonec
Very nice! I have painted one squad of Sanguinary Guard and I know what it's like. Keep up the good work! That contemptor dread is magnificent
VAGABOND
I don't mind the Sanguinary Guard, it's the feathers on the Shoulder Pads that take up the most time but I like the final result and it's well worth the wait.
The Crimson Cartel
Looks ACE Vagabond! Really really like the muted metallic take on the armor. Also, that LC Priest is just plain Awesome! How did you do that armor color scheme? Very Nice -CC

I can pick the bits out, but I am more interested in the paint scheme specifically. Thanks -CC
VAGABOND
I started with a basecoat of Skull White, washed Badab Black and went over the armour with Skull White. Hope this helps. :)

O well, there is always something to be said for keepin it simple! Thanks V -CC

VAGABOND
Beautiful army, Vagabond!!! I can't wait to see your Termies with the SG treatment!! Here are the Terminators, very much WIP as the wash was still drying when I took the pictures. I did promise I'd put some up tonight and I had to use my lamp so theres quite a bit of glare. They are turning out great and I'm loving the gold armour, I'm out gaming tomorrow so will hopefully take some pictures to show you guys better pictures. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/2011-10-27010820.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/2011-10-27010832.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/2011-10-27010846.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/2011-10-27010907.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/2011-10-27010920.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i238/Ryan-Ess/Group-1.jpg
