mughi3
In a rare occurance i got to fight 2 different new ork armies today. game 1 dawn of war, 5 objectives, 2,000 points In game 1 a buddy of mine had been working on revamping his orks into a mechanised list he had a couple deff dreads some cans a warboss, mech boy with force field, 2 nob squads w/cybork and a couple troops choices in trukks. i won the roll and made him go first. i placed nothing but my dread talon and my HQ bray'arth on the table since it was night fight. He ran his nobz up front since they were set up to kill with power klaws. it turned into a protracted battle with my ironclads. I will break down the battle on table sections- On my left i marched breyarth up and decimated the troops he had on an objective and then he played with some deff coptas and a truck. i had a venerable las/missile dread over there as well and after dropping some nobz he lent his fire to help destroy the canz/deff dreads moving across the center/right of the table. There was alot of action down the center as the orks in true fashion charged straight into the fray. first it was his boss and nobz VS 2 ironclads. they evenetually lost combat and fled at under half strength. then he trew cans at me. i managed to kill one via immobilised and dis arm the other before killing it as well. then he tossed in a deff dread and stayed in the combat till the end fo the game. On the right he got smart and moved a trukk of boys back onto his objective while his other boyz and mek charged forward. i managed to keep them in CC for 4 of 5 turns but at the end they finally killed the ironclad they were fighting they charged my land raider but failed to hurt it , however ding so emant they contested my only held objective. the dreads and the land raider had been working on his cans and dreads killing all his cans on the right through shooting and immobilising one dread while ripping armsoff them both. I tried in a last ditch effort to pop his trukk but to no avbails as he had parked it in cover. giving him the win with one held objective to my one contested objective. His army was getting decimated and he only managed to kill one of my units however by keeping focused on the mission objective he still managed to pull out a win. He is going to do a bit of tweaking with his list given that he had some mixed weapons issues on some of his units that made them less effective so we should have a fun rematch sometime later this month. mughi3
Game 2 dawn of war, one objective in each deployment, 2,000 points I used my same army however this time i was fighting a green tide army of boyz. the player was realitvely new having most of his stuff from black reach boxes. as such he had only a few nobz to lead his boys and a bunch of custom ork trikes he was converting as well as a bunch of deff coptaz mostly equiped with shootas. even though he knew he was at a disadvantage given his lack of anti-armor after we discussed his list, he still wanted to throw down. As expected my heavy flamers and ironclads made short work of most of his boyz squads . i shot his coptaz to death one squad running from the table and the other being whiped out. he did manage to roll a bit better with his claws than the last player managing to kill 2 ironclads and immobilise breyarth. the most epic battle was 2 ironclads charging al lone nob and failing to hit him with 8 attacks needing 4+ i roll six 1's and two 3's of course he returned the favor by missing with all his attacks as well. His nob bikers were held in reserve and they failed to come in until turn 5 as such by ths time he had nothng left on the table so they went for the tie hiding on his objective. i spent the last couple turns shooting them and even managed to get them to break. but a quick backhand form the boss pole saw them stubbornly stay on the objective ending the game in a tie. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2a102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2b102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2c102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2d102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2e102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2f102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2g102311.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/k2h102311.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240815-who-let-da-boyz-out/#findComment-2907734 Share on other sites
