SamaNagol
This game is so meta heavy though. You know you need to find a happy medium somehow between the two because Daemons would eat you.
breng77
THe thing is though that in tournaments at least you are far better off wagering that you won't face Daemons, then that you won't face IG or Grey Knights. Most events I have been too have been lucky to see even 1 Daemon player (bigger events obviously have more, but still far fewer than GKs and IG)
Black Memories
Personally if GK gets rid of razor spam I'm all for it. I'm really not a fan. That said I do take razorbacks, but my armies tend to be very different from most razorspam lists. Honestly the fact that razorspam is "going away" or considered weaker now shouldn't be a real surprise to anyone. Razorspam type lists are a direct answer to shooting oriented IG and space wolves (which have significantly better MSU assault than BA) shooting armies either having weak assault troops or few enough that several marine squads should get it done. This meta seems to be shifting a bit as GK squadrons are more than capable of eating MSU units alive, especially in direct matchups. GK simply have better combat units than BA or SW. For the same reason that SW are a stronger MSU spam overall, the GK have their head to head advantages with those two armies in the form of out-of-vehicle shooting and combat. You can have your 25 furious charging marines, I'll take 15 purifiers any day against that, and that's not even counting strike squads. The fact that IG is no longer really the truly dominant force in the tournament scenes anymore (partly because IG has also shifted it's meta and, frankly, become a significantly weaker army) and because several armies have designed themselves to have good midranged shooting, which GK excel at seems to get me thinking that BA and SW are going to have to shift away from some of the more strict razorspam lists and start introducing a lot more variance in their lists, likely with some strength lying in the way of assault. Honestly the 5x razorback/identical troop squad thing is terribly boring, I really wouldn't mind seeing it disappear or at least be altered to have some more variety. Zhukov's list is definitely interesting but I'm not exactly sure how you lay the pain on marine armies that aren't running MSU. 5 man squads just are not a threat to any reasonably backed up full strength unit. I'd be interesting to know if it's simple weight of fire you're relying on it what. From personal experience I've found weight of fire to be utterly meaningless against 3+/4+ marines in reasonable squad size without a chance to rend. Seems like a very "I know what my opponents are going to be at this tournament" list. Which is fair though, everyone has to play against their meta, not the imaginary internet meta. SamaNagol
Thinking of anti armour and the like... has anyone tried using Devastators with an attached Sanguinary Priest? In cover they are insanely difficult to kill.
Volcatus
Thinking of anti armour and the like... has anyone tried using Devastators with an attached Sanguinary Priest? In cover they are insanely difficult to kill. 3 missile Dev squads plus a Priest are the backbone of every list I use. They are indeed difficult to kill.
