thecapn226
I have an inq with 3 servo skulls in a unit with 3 plasma cannons. If I go to shoot the cannons am I allowed to measure 12" away from the skull. The rulebook says no pre measure before shooting, but the skull entry specifically states templates placed within 12" ....... Ect. So the question is do I have to guess if I'm within 12" of the skull or can I measure the 12" first from the skull and then see if that is inside or outside the max range. Reclusiarch Darius
Servo-skulls are not deployed with a unit, they are placed like counters (ie they're not an actual unit, just a token really) before anyone deploys anything (but after you've figured out who has first turn and who is deployed where). Put simply, if you want to guide your plasma cannons with a high degree of accuracy, place the skulls near the killing field you want to make. Please note, the scatter reduction only occurs at the point of impact of the shot, not where the firer is located.
