Vojnik
Finally decided to show off my wolves here. I have taken inspiration from a few of you on here for conversions... most especially Wulfebane, i think i have 3 models that i crafted almost exact copies of yours lol. Past couple months i havn't been as active in gaming and with painting i'm just managing to squeeze in a few hours here and there during the week due to work and family. Basically looking for any extra advice i can grab off fellow wolf brothers. I don't craft my army for optimized lists and therefore go towards i more stronger close combat feel, hence my recent additions to the army being skyclaws and starting prep on swiftclaws as i have enough grey hunters for a maximum of 4 squads decked to the teeth in fancy upgrades. so here they are. Simo429
I really like them, I'm seriously thinking about redoing my baby blue wolves in a grey with a lot of battle damage browns and blood, yours are a great inspiration. Wulfebane
Your wolves aren't shy of dirt! And rofl at that WG with twin WCs! My jaw literally dropped at the amount of blood! I'm glad you were able to mimic those conversions. I'm honored by being named, though with my Two-blade conversion, I still pay credit to MaveriK's Two-blade. Regardless, I think they're very successful.. and if the fur on Two-blade and your Ulrik are GS sculpted, that's some of the best fur I've seen outside of FW's SW ven. dread banner. I like how your BCs all have different pack markings. I haven't seen that before.. most people use the markings to distinguish one pack from another, but you're using it (I'm assuming) to differentiate between different Claws in the same pack. I might do that when I start on my BCs. It makes sense, really... BCs die more than other packs, so it's likely that repainting your pack markings over and over while you're reformed would get tedious. I must say, I don't mind the grime, but I usually feel most people do it to hide behind average or below-average painting skills. You seem to have a pretty capable grasp of painting, so I kind of wish I could see more armor and less dirt. (Fear Ragnar's twin banner poles of doooooom!!) Vojnik
yes, the blood claws pack markings are all different as are the grey hunters. i do this so i have more freedom to change upgrades and squad sizes. i get past the pack markings meant to be the same within the pack by thinking that they are space wolves and have certain ambitions as i feel each warrior is in it for their own sagas and to crave their names into history it made sense to me for each marking to be different. i abuse washes, mostly babad black and devlan mud mixed together, at first i had it minimal and showed my armour but to me i just like the dirty look as if my wolves have been on a long campaign, even have a few grey hunters with khorne berzerker gear on, to demostrate looted bits of gear. yes the two blade dude. i remember seeing maveriks and after seeing yours i knew i had to make my own lol, such an awesome pose too. thanks for the replies so far guys  oh and the fur on ulrik and my two blade version aren't GS but actually fur bits from max mini. they come with a slight bend to fit around waists Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240984-vojniks-wolves-of-fenris/#findComment-2910156 Share on other sites

Valerian
absolutly love them! ragnar's skin looks really dark in the picture though, almost african so to speak. is this the lightning or the actual colour? "Melanchrome, the pigment organ. A Space Marine's skin colour is photo-chromatic, and reacts almost instantly to the strength of sunlight. The Melanehrome protects the skin and provides limited protection from radiation." Ragnar's got a deep tan, because he never wears his frakking helmet. Wulf Vengis
Do any of my brothers smell a filthy greenskin? I could swear theres an ork here somewhere. (sniff, sniff) Smells like its coming from from over by the Predator. Grrr... Amazing models there Vojnik. The long and brutal campaign look and feel of this army is very nice, and the blood and grim effects give the illusion of current and ongoing combat. So props brother, have ale. I look forward to seeing more pictures. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/240984-vojniks-wolves-of-fenris/#findComment-2910546 Share on other sites

Or, it's summer time; yeah, that's probably it. Allfather forbid anyone actually board a strike cruiser and go to war somewhere other than the plains of Asaheim.
