You can reserve the storm raven and then move on from your board edge from reserves and move flat out. The plane would just fly through the smoke too fast for it to do anything more than make a cool effect in the sky. Or is it only if mission allows? Both Reserves and Deep Strike are allowed in all of the BRB missions. In general, Reserves are also allowed in Tournament scenarios and such.
