Steel Angel
If I have my Death Company/wo jumppacks inside a Stormraven can it still deepstrike? Also if A stormraven deepstrikes can it pop smoke? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241065-deepstriking-stormraven/ Share on other sites
JamesI
A stormraven can always deepstrike, regardless of what's inside. It may still pop smoke when it deepstrikes. edit to add, if it has smoke launchers it may use them when it deepstrikes. Volcatus
*snip* Also if A stormraven deepstrikes can it pop smoke? Storm Ravens do not have smoke launchers. breng77
Which is why you would really never bother deepstriking it, why risk the mishap when you can just move flat out onto the board, get a coversave and still shoot with one one. Steel Angel
damn no smoke. the one worry I have with that is all depends on me getting to move first. but I do have other armor for them to worry about. breng77
What Depends on you having first turn? Moving flat out? You can reserve the storm raven and then move on from your board edge from reserves and move flat out. You'd have to reserve to deepstrike anyway, so in that manner there is little difference, just less risk with the flat out move. Brother Captain Ritter
Smoke launchers on an aircraft wouldn't make any sense or function to begin with. The plane would just fly through the smoke too fast for it to do anything more than make a cool effect in the sky. This is how smoke launchers on a vehicle would work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241065-deepstriking-stormraven/#findComment-2911348 Share on other sites
SevenExxes
They should have decoy flares like this Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241065-deepstriking-stormraven/#findComment-2911356 Share on other sites
Brother Captain Ritter
They should have decoy flares like this Though there are not many heat seeking weapons in 40k i'm afraid. SevenExxes
Yeah today's decoy flares are for heat-seeking rockets. But what will tomorrow's decoy flares be like? Anyway, Stormraven doesn't have them so the point is moot. Or is it only if mission allows? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241065-deepstriking-stormraven/#findComment-2911396 Share on other sites

If it is not allowed, it will be indicated in the scenario.
