robson11 Posted October 30, 2011 Author Share Posted October 30, 2011 Hi all, and thanks for your great responses! the yellow was painted as follows: spray black coat the model vomit brown (repeat until neat coat) highlight with vomit brown mixed with bleached bone highlight further with vomit brown mixed with white highlight white in extreme corners glaze the model 4 times with watered down golden yellow, thinned with washing up liquid (the stuff for the dishes) that comes in either a yellow or white colour shade with devlan mud mixed with scorched brown and some black re apply the white highlights where needed touch up model and done no easy trick im afraid, ive tried like 4 methods to paint yellow and this is the only one I really like. the free hand on the Rhino took about 4 hours, it really is the yellow that makes it all the work. close ups will be made soon! and yea, I agree, why not have 10 sternguard that go into 2 combat squads, 2 lascannons in cover, 5 combi plasma guns in razorbacks? more might be added later, for now, ive seen enough yellow for a while XD thanks all:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
