Of Necrons (mice) and Wolves (men)

So I'm stoked to play with and against Necrons. They're going to be my only non wolves army. Really this'll be about our feelings now, as some of the rules have been made public (first white dwarf in months i've even felt worth buying.)

 

I don't know about you brothers, but i'm tired of being a wolf who has to do it's best to delay cc. With the last few new codeces I've had to hit and run a couple of times before cc to get the win. But with Necrons we can go barrelling in, guns blazing and then clean up in Cc. My thunderwolves will be on the table for sure, i know right after the new codex launches I have a game or two to play with one of our players who has sat on his necron army waiting for a new codex. Smart man.

 

My biggest concern right now is the doomsday canon. It's a marine killer for sure. Super high strength, low ap, long range, large blast. My thunderwolves will have to get into combat quick and my las cannons will have to take it out. (I left out the actually stat numbers, i always forget how specific we can be on this forum).

 

I'm frothing at the mouth to bust out some mark of the wulfen and ragnar!

I'm frothing at the bit myself but for another reason, plastic and finecast Necrons means easier chopping and converting for bionics.

 

The Big Cheese Necro has a hand that is just crying out to be transferred to an Iron Father!

I saw that massive gauntlet claw hand he has and thought about a mark of the wulfen character, but as i want one to play and one to convert it'll be a bit befote i can afford two.
