*Furyou Miko
I was just puttering around, half-asleep and trying to put together a stat block for the Companions of Alicia Dominica when I came across this little piece of fluff; Some theorise a connection between the Saint [sabbat] and the Order of Our Martyred Lady, but this is doubtful and is most likely simple legend. I was just wondering if anyone knows where this came from? According to the time line, Sabbat was born around 500.M35, while the Order of Our Martyred Lady wasn't founded under that name until Katharine died in mid-M.37. Are the 'some' who theorise that just fans who don't know better, or was something mentioned in one of the Ghosts novels that I missed? (Also, does anyone have any idea what the Grail of Ages actually is? Alicia Dominica is the "Bearer of the Grail of Ages", but beyond that...) Something Wycked
The only clue I could come up with is Alicia Dominica's personal army of sisters was the Order of the Ebon Chalice- which sounds suspiciously like another term for "Grail of Ages." Its supposed to be a reference to whatever information was told to Alica Dominica by the Emperor himself. Some terrible and great knowledge it is supposed. Whatever it was made Dominica turn on Vandire and help bring an end to the Age of Apostacy and end the stalemate on Terra at the time. Iron Lord
The fact that Sister helmets are called "Sabbat-pattern" in the old codex may play a part in the speculation.
