hello,

I'm rather new to SM , but not to 40K (I have played and collected some models over the past few years but...now i wanted to go SM ..)

and i thought of:

A. a successor chapter from the blood angels

B. a successor chapter from the dark angels

Anyhow, I just thought I’d post up the thoughts i have of my DIY chapter..

Name: Ordo Divini Angeli

Founding chapter: bloodangels or dark angels

Founding: unknown

Chapter Master: Sariel Volkan ('Command of God' or the emperor)

Homeworld: unknown

Main colours: unknown (would show them but i cant use the painter)

Specialty: Unknown

Cry: Death from above!

Estimated strength: 300

Still dont know the one to take.. so any input is most welcome

cheers

Chapter Master: Sariel Volkan ('Command of God' or the emperor)

Why is he called this? and being called the above might be viewed as heresy by the more fantical minded in the imperium.

Isn't that battle cry used in one of the Dawn of War games? it's also kinda a generic marine battle cry along the lines of 'For the Emperor' or 'Victory or Death'. I would like to know why they are only three hundred marines strong not presumably including non-marine personal.

As for which chapter they are successor's of try and research both the DA and BA to see which one would suit you more. If you still find you can't decided and if your imagination is up to the task. You could say that the chapter is an alliance of both DA and BA successors though this would be tricky to pull of in background terms.

Hope this helped.

First advice I can give you is to read the DIY guide at the top of the forum, its a sticky. Very good read.

Second: Go to Lexicanum and read this article on Space Marines, gives you a breif overview of them. After that read up on the Dark Angels and the Blood Angels so whenever someone mentions 'fallen' or the 'Black Rage' you definetly know what they are talking about.

Right, now, on to the IA itself: If you choose to go BA, then you will have to determine how they treat the Black Rage/Red Thirst. If DA, then their relationship to the other Unforgiven Chapters, especially the Dark Angels Chapter itself as many of us are convinced that the Unforgiven operate as a Legion (Azrael;s title is the 'Supreme Grand Master). And how they handle the secret of the fallen and the inner circle.

My other advice is, if you have questions about with the BA geneseed or the DA geneseed you ask their respective forums as they have a ton of knowledge there.
