teku
So I have been working a while on this army. And since a week or two it's for 99% done! I've played with them on Challenge 6 and they looked good the table. Lucky for me no one has had a problem with the way they looked. I have chosen to make them the Warband Angels Sanguine. So I could just give them all helmets! linky link for the mini codex! Hope you enjoy this post!! Have fun reading and watching B) The Angels Sanguine are lead by Danpestis and his Sanguinary Guard. He sometimes just keeps on board because he enjoys the few of his Angels going rampage on a planet. His Sanguinary Guard is painted in different colors. This is because they are unique in every way of killing and slaughtering. Danpestis his warband is the one with the best Ritemasters. This is because he ordered his Angels to not kill the techmarines of the Imperial Legion. So that they can be used in building and maintaining the technology. For example one squad of 5 Angels got Grey Knight Teleporters modified thanks to them. Danpestis http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1065.jpg Librarian Yersinia and Librarian Pasteurella are the two Angels second in command. They make sure Danpestis makes the right choice to assault a cargo ship or not. They also guide and protect the marines in combat. Thanks to their psychic powers they have made sure that the Angels Sanguine had many victories. They have been gifted by Nurgle with wings and they used their power to represent the colors of the war band on the wings. Librarian Yersinia http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1040.jpg Librarian Pasteurella http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1038.jpg Chaplain Cheopis guides the Death Company or the so called Lost in battle. This he does to keep them in line. So that they can be used as maximum power to kill and destroy the enemy. Sometimes they even slaughter animals just for fun. Nothing can stand in their way to kill and feast on blood. Their brains have been rotten by the Nurgle Gift and they are without difficulty seen on the battlefield because of the dark red robes they have been given by the Sanguinary Priests. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1055.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1057.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1059.jpg Sanguinary priest Buboes and Sanguinary priest Gavocciolos are the harvesters of blood and body parts useful for them to help their brethren up to keep the sickness down of Nurgle infestation. Without the Sanguinary Priests of the Apothecarion to hold the Black Rage at bay, the Blood Angels would rapidly descend into little better than mindless beasts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1048.jpg Rite Masters: The Rite Masters are the “techmarines” of the Nurgle Angels. They make sure that the fleets keep flying and fixing the vehicles they have looted. The Rite Masters are responsible for the legion's ships, armour and weapons. Much of the technical knowledge for proper maintenance was lost during Sanguinius's bloody reformation of the original legion, and that which survived was useless in the face of Nurgle's corrosive influence. Instead the Rite Masters use their sorcery to bind and compel the myriad daemonic entities that inhabit everything from the plague ships, to their vehicles and even the armour they wear. NO MODEL BUILT YET! Storm Raven Black Death Is a stolen airship from the Thousands Suns. Icons have been removed, it has been repainted and is now used to drop Cheopis and his Lost Company in the battle. This together with the Dreadnought Siphona makes a fearsome combination. Thanks to the Rite Masters this thing keeps coming back and forward. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1062.jpg Dreadnought Siphona: This marine has been in his catacomb thanks to the Ritemasters. Why did they try to put him in a dreadnought? They saw this been done by the Black Templars. Danpestis couldn’t find any other argument to try this also. So was brother Siphona chosen to be place inside a looted dreadnought. With the above result as effect… http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1061.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1060.jpg Land Speeder Justinianic and Land Speeder Bubonic Are two looted land speeders from the Black Templars. This is because the Nurgle Angels don’t have the technology like they had in begin years of the Legion. Sanguinus removed every Terra Blood Angel by one his Baal tribe people. Same with the Storm Raven Black Death. They are being held running by the Rite Masters. Land Speeder Justinianic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1052.jpg Land Speeder Bubonic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1053.jpg Angels Sanguine Assault Marine Squads: The Normal standard marine of a Angels Sanguine Warband looks like this: You can see the same colors coming back. Dark Red and Black. They are recognizable by the different kind of colored markings on their shoulder pads. First of we got Combat Squad Horny Alpha Sick and Beta Sick both leaders of this squads have been recorded to be seen with horns sticking outside their helmets. Is this because they travel through the warp with the Chaos gods on their side? How knows… HORNY ALPHA SICK http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1041.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1042.jpg HORNY BETA SICK http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1034-1.jpg Plague One and Plague two are both easy to spot because they are the only squad to show the Nurgle Gifts outside their armor. PLAGUE ONE http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1050.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1051.jpg PLAGUE TWO http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1049.jpg The next two Squads are ones we can’t find a real name for. The Squad with the teleporters we call Tely One. For sure the Angels Sanguine must have more of these things in the making. The other Squad calls for now Angel One. Possibly more these squads are on the fleets being drilled. TELY ONE http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1037-1.jpg ANGEL ONE http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/PICT1044.jpg Work in progress! Brother Dakath
I like the mix of bits you've used, especially on your Sanguinary Guard. The paint looks pretty good for the most part, I like it! The only critics I would put forward are the red on the Alpha Sicks' eyes seems a little thick and just one color, the other being that I can't see details on the green guy on the left of the Plague One unit. Other then that, doing slick! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241341-nurgle-angels/#findComment-2914730 Share on other sites
Brother Ambroz
I like them alot. Some very nice conversions here. Only complaint I have is some of their poses seem like they're kinda falling down. Son of Carnelian
Love the conversions here and the guts to start one of these! One thing I would advise is making the bottom of the bases black to unify the look of the army. And it makes the bases look snazzie! The painting isn't 100% uber painting. I like them how they are. And the green guy is totally infected with plague. But thinking about redoing him. Thanks for the comment ;) I like them alot. Some very nice conversions here. Only complaint I have is some of their poses seem like they're kinda falling down. Will you the second person to say that they are falling down! Its crashing with style! The jump pack just had to have melfuction :( Thanks for replying! Love the conversions here and the guts to start one of these! One thing I would advise is making the bottom of the bases black to unify the look of the army. And it makes the bases look snazzie! Thanks! Well the guts to start this? Its a great excuse to use 2 codex for one army! The guys who will join them are Space Wolves. Only thing I'm not sure about is a full Terminator army or a grey hunter shooty army? About the bases! Yes I know the black line. Also on my to do list! But I'm in doubt to do them in their colour markings? Seems like a easy way to see who goes where? The Chaos Wolves are for now a kill team of 200pts. To be upgrade to 500pts! To be continued!! Havokas
That is an amazing idea, i cant believe i hadn't thought of doing up dornian heresy marines myself.. good job, one comment would be that there's just not enough blood angels in alot of those marines to the point where they almost look chaos undivided. AGPO
Have to ask, what are the 'bat' wings you've used? I'm looking for something similar for my Angels Encarmine sanguinary guard. Olgerth Istaarn
Very clever use of bits, and excellent conversions! Well done! Also, you have my huge thanks for doing the Sanguinary Guard with possessed wings. I am planning to do exactly that for the Storm Dragons Assault Force, but wasn't sure whether the wings would be appropriately sized. teku
That is an amazing idea, i cant believe i hadn't thought of doing up dornian heresy marines myself.. good job, one comment would be that there's just not enough blood angels in alot of those marines to the point where they almost look chaos undivided. You are indeed right! They look Chaos Undived I don't acutally like the normal marines head that are in Death Company. Did use some Sanguiary guard. But yeah indeed should add some more Blood Angels to the Vanguard squad. Normally that would be a more "Blood Angel" squad Have to ask, what are the 'bat' wings you've used? I'm looking for something similar for my Angels Encarmine sanguinary guard. These are the ones I used from. Got the idea from here Have fun converting! Very clever use of bits, and excellent conversions! Well done! Also, you have my huge thanks for doing the Sanguinary Guard with possessed wings. teku
Thread Necromancy!! Yesterday I made a photoshoot from my 5th Edition Army Nurgle Angels Army. Most likely these guys will be joined by some Wolf friends in 6th! I repainted them in the begin of this year to have a new start with them. I can use this are both as Chaos Marine, Blood Angels and Space Wolves. I used them most as Blood Angels. Every Jump Pack / Back pack is been magnitzed so I could use them as Descent of Angels. Still thinking about adding a sternguard or Vanguard Veterans. Hope like them! Lots of pictures are coming you're way now :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1614.jpg Death Company Dreadnought Siphona + Drop Pod http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1616.jpg Death Company Storm Raven Black Death http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1617.jpg Furiso Libby & Dreadnought http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1619.jpg Chaos Marine Obliterators http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1621.jpg 2 Multi Melta Attack Bikes http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1623.jpg Land Speeder Justinianic and Land Speeder Bubonic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1624.jpg 3 Predators http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1628.jpg Librarian Pasteurella & Honour Guard with Razorback Ride http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1627.jpg Combat Squad Tely One with Razorback Ride http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1629.jpg Combat Squad Plague One with Razorback Ride http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1630.jpg Combat Squad Angel One with Razorback Ride http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1632.jpg Combat Squad Horny Alpha Sick with Razorback Ride http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1633.jpg Devastator Squad or Long Fangs http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1634.jpg Sanguinary priest Buboes and Sanguinary priest Gavocciolos http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1636.jpg Terminator Librarian Nigrum http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1637.jpg LibrarianYersinia & Astorath the Grim http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1638.jpg Objective Markers (I need to built 3more) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1639.jpg Chaplain Cheopis and the Death Company http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1640.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1641.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1642.jpg Sanguinary Guard + Commander Danpestis http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1645.jpg Commander Danpestis http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1646.jpg Assault Squad Plague Two http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/teku_01/Death%20From%20Above/DSCN1648.jpg Assault Squad Horny Beta Sick Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241341-nurgle-angels/#findComment-3137360 Share on other sites
