Ultramarines

Hey all.

Perhaps with the recent release of the WH video game, my interest was sparked in the hobby aspect of it again. I had a handful of the original figures in the mid-80s but never progressed beyond painting them one or two colors with that old Testors paint in the small glass bottles. I was terrible at it so I lost interest. I have a bit more spare time now so I gave it another go with the starter set of 5 marines and I found that I enjoy it a bit more as my patience has also improved with maturity. Ive never played the table top game and maybe will try that one day too.

A big thanks to BandC, Dakka, and those on Youtube for the positive encouragement and guidance. These are my first minis that I have ever completed. Yes, they are dipped with quickshade and Im learning to use it more effectively. My next groups of marines will be Space Wolves and Im hoping to improve upon the quality wit my highlighting/brush control skills and not relying on the dip. I learned quite a bit with these guys and compliments and suggestions are welcome.

Still need to improve on how to do gems.

Found an Ikea display case for $30. I have a long way to go to fill it up.
