I want YOUR opinion! (Color Scheme)

Hey everyone, some of you might already know, I am creating a 13th Co. army, and I am modeling my average solider from the Chaos Warriors set. So they all have capes..... I want your opinion on which color scheme looks best! Just bare in mind the front of the models will be grayish (13th Co. colors) with random parts painted Chaos.

- Some things to know before you look: The one white/bonewhite cape with black specs was slightly damaged, my gloves had black primer on them and smudged onto the cape, so try and imagine the cape without it!

- The black cape was too heavily high lighted, will definitely tone it down if it is my main scheme

its hard to tell.... the pictures are small and to be honest, an actual model of a 13th company would help. When someone says I'm painting my marines grey. Well, there are different types of greys out there and well, depending on the shade of grey you use will help determine which cape would work better and compliment each other... but that's just my two cents.
Alright, sorry about that. I usually use photobucket but for some reason it won't upload anything... So I used Flickr and it makes pictures very tiny.... Using imageshack, I should have the bigger pics soon.

what's wrong with the uploads here on B&C  anyway, keep in mind the shoulder pads colors make a difference in making everything work together.

B&C is dreadfully slow for me. I use Flickr.... I think :P :P

I, being young , can see the pictures. I would go for the redish brown, pic 4. Or a bone coloured cape and a reddish fur. Oh and post pics of the finished product!

I am also young, however giving a true critique needs a proper basis to draw from :HQ: I can't give a full opinion on something that size

However, if I were I'd choose 3rd going down from the top

Not young enough though eh? ;) I was on my phone in all truth so could zoom in ;)

I'm doing the same conversions myself! I chose the Terracotta (the Reddish Brown) for the cape and I painted the fur black and grey. My marines are Codex Grey, and it helps the brass that I selected really pop (along with any of touches of bright color - like red or blue).

I'd say definitely go for the Red-Brown and combine that with something like black or white fur (like on some of the other examples). The lighter red color blends in too much with the cape and you lose both elements. I really like what you did with the last one (the black cape with the white fur. That gold skull is a great idea), so maybe you could try the Red-Brown fur with the black cape.

As promised, and hopefully wanted... Here is a painted body. I left off the arms/heads/backpack because im still considering what parts I want to use... Hopefully i'll have this guy finished completely by tomorrow

- The skull near his neck and the amulet didn't come out quite as well as i'd hope

Also! Here is another pelt color, tell me what you think, thanks!

Ok you asked so here it is. This has been done and better. Chaos guys do not make great Space Wolves. The leather boots and belt with buckle is not all that inspiring. So make some Chaos guys for WarHammer. it would look better. =)

The cloak looks awesome thou. =)

Here is my first attempt at making a more "Space Marine" conversion. I sanded a bit too much on the belt area and the tabard came out so well until the end and my damned hand slipped and i made it crease at the mid section! It's getting a bit late now and my eyes can't seem to focus, so tomorrow I will paint him up and try another conversion and get the GS right and the mold lines, till tomorrow!

Honestly.....

You need to work on your green stuff skills, but that will come in time. The Space marine legs look better, but the tabard on the front makes him looked knocked kneed. My first impression was a Space Wolf that can't find a handy tree.
