MeatGrinder
That looks awesome, beautiful paintjob, I like how that head sits well with the GK body, might try that myself. That lamp, is it attatched to the model, or it it on the base behind him? Interrogator Stobz
Great paint work, I really like the non shiny grey and the battle damage, I also like the stained or cracked glass on the "almighty..space lamppost". That sucker is a bit too big for my liking though. stobz Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241662-inquisitor-lord-silas-hand/#findComment-2919892 Share on other sites
tyrannosaurus
Strewth! That is stunning work, especially the NMM bits and the pipes. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241662-inquisitor-lord-silas-hand/#findComment-2920018 Share on other sites
Dam13n
Thanks for the responses. Meatgrinder - The lamp post is on the base behind him. Olgerth Istaarn
Excellent work. Might be a touch too worn for my tastes, but the level of detail is awesome. Son of Carnelian
"Silas Hand died fighting the great enemy. You dishonor his sacrifice." Dam13n, you've done a great job! He's one of my favorite characters from the fiction. Son of Carnelian
My actual name is Silas  Nice imitation of me ;) People really name their kid that? Wow. If I ever have a son, his name has been chosen! Back on topic, Silas there looks VERY different from his depiction in the graphic novel, but we can chalk it up to "artistic liberties for the sake of a great model." Dam13n
Thanks again guys. Marshall - The name just popped into my head when I was painting him. I couldn't remember where it came from but it sounded cool. The model was intended to look as though his sacrifice may be in the offing. Backed up against the lamp-post in a challenging pose and the servo-skull maybe looking at a flanking enemy coming from his right... Fox - As above, cool (and unusual) name dude.
