Jonah
I've just played a game against an IG player who had a squad loaded up in a Vendetta in reserve. However when he rolled for reserves he chose to role for them separately - the vendetta didn't come on but the men did, walking on from his table edge. Is this allowed? I thought you had to declare how reserve units will deploy during your deployment phase. Also a wound-allocation question. Say you have a squad of models that are the same and one of them is on 1 wound and the others are on 2. If the squad takes a wound do you have to kill off the one model, or can you allocate it to another model? JamesI
You do declare how reserves will deploy during deployment. If he said they were coming on in the transport, they had to. Jonah
Thanks, I thought so! Also added the wound-allocation question to my previous post (you replied super-fast, cheers!) JamesI
IF the guys are identical, the new wound kills the original guy. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241665-changing-reserve-deployment-method/#findComment-2919870 Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
Frosty's Wound Allocation Order of Operations 1. Enemy Rolls to hit 2. Enemy Rolls to wound 3. Apply one wound to each MODEL until each model has one wound, Then Apply a second, third, and so on until there are no more wounds to allocate. 4. Separate wounded models into different identical groups based on wargear and profile (so all marines with just a bolter in one group, ones with a boltpistal/ccw in another, plasmaguns in another, sergeants in another and so on) 5. Roll armor saves for each GROUP 6. Within each group apply wounds in such a way to remove the maximum amount of models/wounds possible (for example instant death goes on the ones with the most wounds remaing), extra wounds do NOT carry over into other groups, they are lost.
