TraceofToxin
So with numerous players stating they aren't willing to try SoB because of the high moentary cost associated with the models. Buying Sisters in all metal is definitely expensive, but as one of the lesser sought after armies, you can often get them second-hand for pretty good deals. With that said, I'm inclined to ask; How much would you be willing to pay for a 1500-2000 point army? How about if it was painted? What about any other 40k army? How much would you be willing to pay for a new/used/painted army? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241666-how-much-would-you-pay/ Share on other sites
Babel_Triumphant
I'd probably pay about $5 (3.1 GBP) for each battle sister, and 7 or 8 for each seraphim or other special model. It's possible to find them at such a price secondhand, which is what I've been doing. It makes the whole process very slow, however. Since it's not a popular army, it's not always easy to find the models for sale. Jacinda
How much would you be willing to pay for a 1500-2000 point army? 200 to 350 USD depending on the models and the shape they are in. How about if it was painted? 150 to 250. I would prefer not to have to strip them. Primer only is OK, tho. There's no way you could afford an army brand new with that kind of budget, even secondhand that's a low bid. You're clearly a bargain shopper who's willing to do work if it means saving some money. Valkyrion
I get most of my enjoyment by assembling and painting rather than playing so assembled and painted is worth less to me but I'd roughly work off 10% of the points value - a 2000 point army still on the sprue; I'd pay around £200 for. Painted and assembled and I wouldn't look at it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241666-how-much-would-you-pay/#findComment-2920273 Share on other sites
