Seriously nice work mate, i love the Storm Warden, very characterful!

The Deathwatch marine also is very good, the things that really drew my attention though were the helmets, both seriously awesome!

Excellent work, I have to say. I'd expect these pictures, given the calibre of them, to be found in a Deathwatch book (especially the Storm Warden). ;)

......... I thought I was the only person who played a Black Shield Night Lord... And this guy played and Apothecary too?... Seriously what are the odds!?

Excellent work man, its spot on. Its actually kinda creepy how much it reminds me of my character....

Thanks Olisredan- considering I occasionally do work for Fantasy Flight Games (Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade etc) I'm glad you think so

Well, not to make you paranoid, but since Talos, a Night Lord Apothecary protagonist of Black Library books, is fairly popular, it was only a matter of time before some other guy would make a loyalist Night Lord Apothecary ;)

Cheers guys!

Lantern Marines Chapter Master.

"Chiroptera Ignis

The firebat is a known predator on the Lantern homeworld.

It is not called Firebat because it light up with fire,

rather it reflects in a somewhat unnatural manner.

The tribesfolk of the planet would enter the caves of

the bats with torches and thus see bats of fire.

They are common pets of the tribes and sometimes also used by Lantern Marines.

It is considered bad luck to eat the head of a firebat..."

I love the lictor in this one, especially the way you've blended the flagstones into the carapace to show him 'unstealthing', beautiful. Unfortunately, on first viewing the marine is giving me a certain sense of skipping which the twirling chain accentuates. I assume he's actually supposed to be landing after bursting through the hole in the wall?

Kol_Saresk has gotten the idea.

The problem with a static image, as opposed to a moving image, is that sometimes people can read it the opposite of how it was intended.

I will keep this in mind to keep my marines from skipping whilst facing Tyranids in the future...

cheers!

The other last update - with the other two peices of artwork hidden behind a link - one of those, the Lantern Marines chaplain, has to be my favorite 40k artwork produced. I'm going to admit a large part of that is I love chaplains all around but still... it has so much character and it's so different from a 'codex' chaplain and yet it's still recognizable as one. Not to mention the awesome glow effects :D

glad to see you're still pumping out high-grade artwork :D

love the atmosphere you created here, grimdark at it's best! Must say my brain seems to 'buzz-out' when looking at ruven, makes me cringe as it's blurry while Talos is so crisp and detailed.NICE!!

this reminds me I really need to get those pictures taken with that artwork I got and won from last year's F.A.C.T.S. :D :)
