Azulz
I hate to start a new topic for a one off question but im concerned about this one. Can separate units be within 2" of each other? I thought the answer would be "no" seeing as how if an infantryman is within 2" of another infantry type model, he is said to be in "coherency" , when he is in fact not part of that unit. But my friend in fact showed me that thr BRB says nothing about remaining 2" away from another friendly unit. Seems the only thing that has to do this is IC's. But. Why would they have to and not other units? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241858-coherency-with-other-units/ Share on other sites
greatcrusade08
one squad cannot join another squad, only ICs can join and leave units. therefore normal infantry squads dont have to stay 2" away from each other, they can intermingle aslong as they remain in coherancy with thier own unit Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/241858-coherency-with-other-units/#findComment-2922378 Share on other sites
Khorneeq
I would like to clarify that even independent characters can be in coherency with more than one unit. But it is important to specify which unit they join. You can find it in the Rulebook in: Independent Characters Joining & Leaving Units section. Azulz
Ok the question is not whether or not a unit can join another unit. Its whether or not it can be within 2" of another unit. I.E. can you stack units in very close proximity? Ah now see the answer , thank you very much.
