sonofpollux
I saw a picture with an assault marine with a chainaxe in the codex. What do youi guys think for modelling purposes? Do you think ones from forge world look good? You thoughts?
JamesI
chain axes would probably look great. No reason not to use them.
Midnightmare
Look good - yes, but the FW ones are very flimsy, my Bro's nearly all snapped off his World Eaters after just a couple of games. They really need pinning.
AGPO
If you pin the FW axes they work just fine. Personally I've always seen chain axes as a Flesh Tearers thing, why not include a squad of them in your army?
Israfel
I added a few chainaxes to my assault marines and I'm happy with the models. I used the chainaxes from the khorne berzerkers kit and trimmed out all the chaosy parts.
Journeyman
Agree with Israfel, "I added a few chainaxes to my assault marines and I'm happy with the models. I used the chainaxes from the khorne berzerkers kit" Did the same thing with my successors Angels Sanguine.
BloodTzar
I do use FW axes on my "veteran squads", however they are very fragile as I lost 4 so far >.>
Lesek
My death company use chain axes.
Zeller
I think it's more iconic of the WE and as such it's not suitable for the BA. Then again some might say I'm a bit close minded about such things.

fivepointedstar
well prior to the price hike Khorne Zreks WERE $33.00 US for 12 models. So of course I bought two boxes for my DC. I a few kitbashes later I have 24 crazed chain axe/ sword welding madmen.
red_starrise
I say go for it, it's fun & different & that's what makes 40k such a great game IMHO is the modelling aspect of it.

Then again some might say I'm a bit close minded about such things. +1 Snorri pre heresy im sure the other legions had them as well...the WE's just favoured them over other weapons  also renember that like other chapters the blood angels can always "recover" weapons from chaos indivuals and "purge them" of any chaos taint like the imperium is want to do ;) personally im going to have a count as Corbulo stand around with a chain axe. he will stand out enough and the appearance of the weapon should explain why its special ^_^
Lestat
I've mixed in chainaxes with chainswords for my pre-heresy BA assault squad and they seem to work pretty well. I use the FW berzerker axes and hey definately need pinning just for that extra stability.
gogmagog
The Flesh Tearers use chain axes I seem to believe!
