Snikrot + Biker Bosses..

Hey gents, quick question here.

If you have Snikrot in your evil orky army, and you attach a biker boss(or two), what are the implications for movement and breaking away?

Specifically:

1. How far can the biker boss move (if he's intending to break away from the squad) ?

2 Where can the biker boss enter play from, relative to the squad? (assuming he wants to break away?)

For ic's with different movement speeds, my friends and I are of the opinion that if you state they are going to seperate, the ics can move their full movement.

However, when coming on from reserves, we rule you can't split up that turn, as we declare before moving, and before they move on they aren't on the table.

However the rules for ic's splitting are not that clear.

You are correct, it isn't clear in the BRB but the BRB FAQ states

Q: If an Independent Character is joined to a unit that

is outflanking, when can he leave the unit? (p94)

A: If an independent character is arriving from reserve

together with a unit, whether it is outflanking or not,

he cannot leave the unit during the turn it arrives. He

can, of course, leave it as normal from the following

turn.

Thanks! Snikrot's ability isn't outflanking, but it is arriving from reserve. Good find! :tu:

He can arrive from reserve from any table edge I think :P

Very nasty, he pops up from behind, witha Warboss attached, and with some Skorchas and Burnas, then you assault with his power weapons, and Boss with Power Klaw and Attack Squig. Aaah good times ;)

Funny thing is that I've got an Ork army on the side, and have always used Snikrot with it, but had never considered attaching an IC to the unit until this thread. I'm so used to units losing ability to Outflank if an IC without infiltrate joins, that I didn't even consider the possibility. In my experience Snikrot plus Kommandos were always fun sneaking up on enemy units, but just never had the close combat punch to really get past a full squad of Marines. Attach a Warboss with Power Klaw and other gear and it's a whole different story!

Was a common tactic with the Orky players at Adepticon this year.
