dynamicspartan
Hey all, Just wondering if anyone has a good tutorial for painting space wolf Armor that looks similar to the ones on the boxes. I have tried the tutorial on gws website, but I did not get close to the same results. Thanks everyone appreciate it. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/242161-painting-space-wolves/ Share on other sites
xPeRt
I've tried to use guides and videos, and I have found out that its much more fun to develope your own style and paint scheme for your wolves. Just my $.02 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/242161-painting-space-wolves/#findComment-2927197 Share on other sites
dynamicspartan
Thanks xPeRT but the thing is, I don't play Space Wolves. I'm putting dead Space Wolves on my 1k sons bases and my favorite look for them i the box art and 'eavy medal models. That is how I would rather their armor look. G3rman
Just search on youtube, or look in this forum's space wolf section for paint recipes if there aren't any in the tutorial section. dare89a
Hello. I painted my dark angels army and now is time for varnish. So as complete newb in this hobby, i must ask for advice :) So i have option of using oil varnish(humbrol) over my dark angels, that are painted with citadel starter paint set. I dont have option of buing purity seal varnish. So some advice about that oil varnish will be nice. Taliostro
totally wrong topic, but you wanted advice: Don't use it, it can ruin your paintjob. Acrylics and oil based lacquers can interact with each other, the oil can dissolve the acrylic paint. Go to a hardwarestore or something like that, buy a spraycan of matte varnish from there and use this. If you can't do that either, do a testmini and use the lacquer on this mini for testing. The Wolfmeister
Base: The Fang Wash: Agrax Earthshade Layer: Russ Grey Highlight: Fenrisian Grey This is how I do it and they're pretty much how they appear on the boxes.
