PyronusSouria
I'm looking for C&C on some of my ideas for my DIY Chapter Imperial Falcons 23rd Founding Founded to reclaim the Stannis system from separatists Homeworld: Stannis IV-I (Four-One), a hive planet that shares it's orbit with another world, Stannis IV-II (Four-Two). The two planets are always at opposite points in their orbit, but share the same orbital ellipse. It's sister planet, Stannis IV-II is also an Imperial World run by Imran Markov, an Imperial Guard General turned planetary Governor. Recruits are drawn only from Stannis IV-I, and are selected with a genetic screening process. Organization: The Imperial Falcons have a non-Codex organization system, that works as follows; 1st Company consists of 90 Sternguard Veterans, divided into fifteen 6-man squads called Task Forces. These Task Forces are trusted to perform specific, precise operations that often change the course of war. The Captain of 1st Company is always one of the Task Force commanders, and he remains with his squad but still acts as Captain. 2nd-5th Companies are arranged as follows:6 Tactical, 2 Devastator, 1 Assault and 1 Scout. These Scout squads are squads that have completed their training, but are more suited to stealth and recon operations. 6th and 7th Companies remain Codex-standard, 8th Company contains 10 Devastator squads, and 9th contains 5 Assault and 5 Scout. 10th Company remains Codex-standard. Combat Doctrine: The Imperial Falcons prefer ranged combat, but at shorter ranges. However, they will always take a firefight over close combat. Weapons utilizing solid ammunition, boltguns especially, are preferred among the Falcons. There is a common belief among the Falcons that weight of fire is the best way to eliminate any threat. Beliefs: The Falcons believe what most Space Marines believe; the Emperor should be revered, but is not a God. They take a humanitarian approach to warfare, like the Salamanders. However, their newest Chapter Master holds a different attitude, and it's starting to spread through the chapter. Demus Ragnok
Founded to reclaim the Stannis system from separatists Homeworld: Stannis IV-I (Four-One), a hive planet A chapter founding is long process by human standards. Why wouldn't an established chapter be sent to put down rebellion? So they quashed the rebellion and claimed the world as their homeworld. Where did their original aspirants come from, rebels? It's sister planet, Stannis IV-II is also an Imperial World run by Imran Markov, an Imperial Guard General turned planetary Governor. How does this affect the chapter? What is the relationship like, between Four-One and Four-Two? Who runs Four-One? However, they will always take a firefight over close combat Why have they developed this tactic? Fighting on hive worlds rather forces close combat. Astartes physiology gives them distinct advantages in close combat. They are bigger, stronger, and faster than any normal human. Not to mention the astartes body closes wounds near instantly. Very good reasons to get close when possible.
