Purifier Paint Scheme

Hey,

I’m about to start painting my first set of the new plastic Grey Knights; I’ve got a Strike Squad and a Purifier Squad assembled. I have to say, I’m not a fan of the GW paint scheme for Purifiers – The white helmet and shoulder pad does nothing for me when the unpainted metal of the armour is supposed to represent purity.

I’ve been trying to figure a way to keep the Purifiers silver, as well as ensure they can be easily distinguished from my Strike Knights. My solution is to paint them with completely silver armour, as well as not put any personal heraldry on their shoulder. I might also do the raised lining of the shoulder pads in gold.

Do you think this would be sufficient for my opponents to be able to easily distinguish the Purifiers from the Strikes/Purgators?

Thanks

:)

That's probably enough. Although I suggest trying a test model with white shoulder pads and a silver helmet, to see if you like the look. That's how I'm doing my Purifiers and it looks great, way better than the GW scheme. If you wind up not liking it, then silver will be easy to paint over the white.
