Named SM Characters...

Title says it all, what do you guys do when you run a Lysander in a UM list, or a Kantor in a IF last? Keep them true to their chapter, or make them match?

I paint everything the same, even when including characters from outside my troops choices' normal "kin" color.

If I nick a special character (and use the official model instead of a proxy) then, yes, he gets the same paint job as the army he's in. I tend to be careful with the symbols, too. Extra ultramarine u's are very much unwanted when I do this. :rolleyes:

I alway edit the name on my list to make the IC a distant cousin and paint them in the colours of the Army.

 

I would paint Vulkan in UM Blue for my ultramarines (would probably convert a model)

 

But Lysander would be Derek Lysander etc. etc.

I play a UM successor chapter, but I use both Telion and Chronos in their blue scheme, as if they were "seconded" to my DIY force.
