Hi,

your Khorne Berserkers look terrific! Do you mix in parts of barbarians? I really like them a lot! Great paintjobs on your other models, too.

Kind regards

Nightpaw

Hello Nightpaw,

I haven't used any barbarian parts, but cheers for the idea - as they are a plastic kit. So easy to convert!!! I will have to purchase some bitz off ebay for my next squad.

As for what I used on my Berserkers -

In 1st picture, post one, 2nd from right we have a conversion from the Warhammer fantasy champion.

And same picture, but on the far left was actually made from an old Necromunda Goliath gangster.

Those are so nice... once I have the time, I shall touch up and repaint my own rubrics, I keep seeing really nicely painted ones and feel I need to try and paint them nicer, very inspirational rubrics there, especially using the FW armour, though I must ask, what happened to the helmets, and are you going to try putting crests on the mk III helmets on the other squad?

Thanks for the comments Rune Priest. The Iron Warriors have, shall we say, 'borrowed' the mark III helmets off the Thousand Sons. And repainted them silver! You'll be able to make them out in my last post.

Hey all. I know it’s been an EMBARISSINGLY long time since I updated this log, but an up
and coming campaign at my games club in North Wales, has inspired me to take up
the paintbrush once again.

To help the campaign follow a narrative we like to come up with a Warlord, who gets
different USR for fulfilling campaign objectives.  So I needed an interesting HQ....

And here are a few shots of my Khornate Warlord ‘Dakor’ a.k.a. ‘The Head Hunter’

And which CSM army would be complete without a Helldrake......Kill...Maim...BURN

Cheers Cretheus, Papa Nurgle has been polluting my thoughts lately. I have 2 Blight Drones, a Soul grinder, a Nurgle Biker Lord, PM's and much much more lined up on my painting desk. We can Tag team the imperial scum then!

Is your Warlord really sporting a moustache? I hope he is is always twirling it in an evil way ;-)

LOL! They are pipes, but i may cut them off & paint a big slug of a moustache on, that would be Hilarious! Just like an evil James Bond villain...only with an axe!

Superb looking army. I really love those thousand sons in particular. I have a couple of quick questions: what do you use to seal your FW weathering powders, and also what on earth are your noise marines' weapons made out of?

Firstly Thanks for your Kind words kvlt ghost. And to answer your questions, i just use a thin coat of purity seal. It works a treat. And As for the noise weapons, i posted a good link in the 5th post of this thread. This says where i got the parts & the idea for that matter (this was a good few months ago though i know) Hope i have been of help :-)

Awesome Khorne Lord mate!! Good choice on his head, it is my fave in the whole of 40k (and hard to get hold of without shelling out for the FW termies, I can tell you!) The OSL looks especially good on the Jugger. Despite having seen the 'drake before, it never ceases to impress, especially the weathering - though I will look forward to shooting it down this coming campaign devil.gif

Cheers for the Kind comments Midnight. And hope you enjoy shooting down the Drake, Lord Dakor will give you that. Just know that he will be after your warlords head!

No Eternal Warrior you say? Interesting......*

*Disclaimer - To be fair, I don't fancy my chances actually

From a once beautiful maiden world he rides his daemonic mount, raiding the galaxy for souls to claim for the Dark Prince.

Lord Velius of Oliensis.

I cant believe I havent seen this great thread before. Really good Chaos Marines, I love the rusten feel you have given the Iron Warriors as opposed to the polished steel look they tend to have. Its quite a sharp pink those slaanesh marines have. All great work.
