davetherave26 Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 hey guys ive just ordered myself huron from the forgeworld site and a box of the plastic grey knights Finally!!! gotta love those force weapons ^_^ anyways ive been trying to get some information on the astral claws themselves i know all about the war and huron eventually turning to chaos into the red corsairs but the way i want to design my army is just before he turns to chaos so perhaps mix the colours of the orginal astral claws and red corsairs. Any ideas would be very helpful untill my models arrive like conversion ideas and colour sceme. One thing i would like to know is what type of army does huron use close combat specialists as i want to gear it to as close as the story as possible many thanks rave Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Colossus Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 As far as I'm aware, it was after the Astral Claws fled to the Maelstrom that they became the Red Corsairs. Huron was badly wounded during the final siege of badab, and needed rebuilding with bionics, and also apparently made pacts with Chaos during this time. Strictly speaking, you could do the mixed army (representing the Astral Claws beginning to repaint their armour etc), but it would be tricky to include the FW version of Huron in this army. Force composition wise, the Astral Claws had a lot of the more basic Asartes tech, like bolters (and other forms of bolt weapons) as these were easy to manufacture on Badab. Essentially, think renegade Space Marine Chapter, so I'd go for C:SM. Just my 2 kraks. ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
davetherave26 Posted November 29, 2011 Author Share Posted November 29, 2011 thanks guys this has really helped me out alot gona do chaos renegade astral claws cant decide on the current colour scheme or the orginal which was orange with tiger stripes. So army comp will prob consist of lots of space marines with bolters and the rare weapons only for the chosen. My grey knights came in the post today :lol: gona heavly convert them to make chosen the force weapons are just too sweet not to have. I read some where that huron made extensive use of tech marines is that right ?? can you believe it i missed my huron from forge world i was asleep damn:((( re deivering it tomorrow happy face:D The huron model from forge world can very easily be made to look chaos esp with his lighting claw it doesnt look imperial in nature it looks evil which is a good thing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
