help finding daemon world terrain inspiration

I think a crystal based world would be interested, kind of like the inside of a thunder egg or geode.

Another type would be the twisted architecture design, with stairs leading to nowhere, lopsided buildings and such.

Maybe an ocean world where the only land are islands of frozen corpses.

Just try to keep away from the more typical fire and brimstone look as I feel its what is expected.

I will have to take pictures on sunday and post them but....

Our local gaming store is amazing for various different ideas for tables... We had a 10k vs 10k Space Marines vs Daemons game and the table was completely custom made.

He had giant slabs of flesh with large bone and stones penetrating through it. The flesh was bruised, diseased in some areas and there were puss bubbles and pockets. There were rivers of blood that defied gravity. Roads of bone going up to a bridge that went over a river of blood that opened up into a lake of blood. There were hills with eyes that suspended in air and were built into a hill made of odd stone. There was a giant claw made of stone that reached up into the sky. Walls of bone. Big large stone formations that defied gravity and purpose. That is what I can remember for right now but there was a lot more. It was three 4x6 tables pushed together and there wasnt more than 5-10 inches that was bare of some terrain or another.

The final section of Crysis 2 was quite...out there. I think it was Central Park of NYC that was lifted up, torn up and suspended in the air by giant cables (of some alien design). I bet it would make a good board...have different land chunks movable and every turn they move a random 2D6 inches using the scatter dice? Daemons are random, and having shifting landmasses is pretty darn random if you ask me.
