Some updates to my army

This squad is homage to 3rd edition’s retinue options for chaos space marines. Back in 1999 CSM where allowed to take a Lord’s Retinue which allowed access to Wargear and specific combinations that could really provide some good modeling potential. I finally put these together and started painting them from pieces i've collected over the years. The disks are one of the three actual games workshop disks. The bodies are Dark Angels with greenstuff modifications. The TS shoulder pads are some of my last metal ones I purchased 10+ years ago through the GW bit section, and the other shoulder pads are obtained from the TS squad box. These guys are all with magnetized so I can switch loadouts depending on future codex changes. This is the only arms I have currently done so this would be the default option, aka Power Sword / Mind Bullets.

In current codex times these could be used to fill the role of raptors, chaos veterans, or the Thousand Sons Chosen Space Marine Squad from the Apoc Thousand Sons Warcoven.

I've thrown in a picture of my completed upright defiler dedicated to Tzeentch, also referred to as a Deceiver. Magnets were used to connect the torso to the legs for easier disassembly. The weapons are interchangeable, both the shoulder mount and the under-the-torso groin mount. With this, I can field any Defiler weapon configuration.

Why is this not full of posts??

I'm not sure I could ever fall in love with a lot of red on Thousand Sons stuff, but your flames do look absolutely amazing. The eyes and insignia, particularly the serpent circles, really stand out.

Love the khopesh blades. The effects and colors are just right.

Excellent use of plasticard, and sorry for the 'hate' against red, but it does serve to break up the blue easily!

Kromlech Khopesh Vibro Swords, they are fairly common for Thousand Son armies. I liked the idea using them here because, Khopesh's are designed to be used by mounted troops.

I also don't recall mentioning that their feet are magnetized so I can use them as walking troops. Try to make these guys unplayable GW i dare ya.

No problem, everyones different. All of my Thousand Sons like guys have flames on there legs, it is one of my army themes. Other's have probably seen it before so aren't as impressed by it.
