Nym468
Just picked up an assault terminator squad and noticed on the sprue an extra shoulder pad next to the sergeant's bits. It has a small flange on the top with writing "emperor...something" Which shoulder does this go on? I imagine the right because the shoulder pad with the terminator emblem is normally on the left or does this one replace that? Maligoare
This would be the Deathwatch pad, granted to Marines who have been seconded to the Deathwatch and then returned to their chaper. It is traditionally worn on the left shoulder whilst in the Deathwatch, so I assume it stays on that shoulder when they return 'home'. Vodunius
Possibly a minor quibble, but the Deathwatch emblem has crossed bones behind the skull, this pad lacks the bones - its basically a generic inquisition symbol suitable for a marine seconded to any branch of the Inquisition rather than a specific Deathwatch pad. Nym468
So a marine who has returned from deathwatch will return to his (in this case Ultramarine) paint scheme except retain the deathwatch shoulder pad as a mark of honor? cathar the great
So a marine who has returned from deathwatch will return to his (in this case Ultramarine) paint scheme except retain the deathwatch shoulder pad as a mark of honor? Yes. Modelling-wise, the Terminator shoulder pads only really fit well on one side. So you will notice which side this pad goes on better by simply holding it against a Terminator arm.
