Eirik_Xenobane
With all these Grey Knight terminator armies out there I'm of a mind to dig out the old wolf himself and do an all-termie Space Wolf list. I'd appreciate any advice and tips for such a project. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243053-tactical-dreadwolves/ Share on other sites

Grimfoe
Go big or go home! Don't get caught up in trying to max the number of troops or short them on wargear. Take the maximum punch available. Also, consider drop pods. I favor using Arjac and using TH/SS minis. Include a Cyclone on one of their backs (keep the TH/SS). Adding a rune priest and they can land with 2 str 8 shots and d6 str 7. Arjac's squad also gets a str 10 thrown in for the fun of it. Consider mixing in one squad of LFs as well. Always like the idea of Logan landing with them and watching them shoot the hell out of two tanks on landing. He can leave the squad and join the termis on turn 2. Quillen
This is a good build. And I too use Logan and a Long Fang pack to kill 2 tanks the first go and then move around the board lighting things up. I think one of the biggest benefit of WG Terminators over standard marine terminators is that you can allocate them differently. So provide a mix of CC weapons, combi-weapons, etc. Sure put a could Storm Shields in there, but if you go all TH/SS, you are paying considerably more than others would in the standard Space Marine Codex. Plus, with a mix of weapons, you can make use of some wound allocation. Wysten
To be honest, by far the best way to use Wolf Guard, is not to make them all terminators. This saves a considerable amount of points which you can use on Arjack, but also to fund more 5 man squads for extra durability and more long ranged weapons. The more heavy weapons the list has, the more flexable the list as a whole is, because most armies get bogged down in being a 12 inch army with only long fangs to do the shooting. In this way, we can have 3 pa guys per squad, and two termie space wolves. One to act as the 2+ sheild and combi weapon carrier, and the 2nd to act as the heavy weapon chain fist weilding nutter. I find with this approch that you can field a considerable number of figures, and still remain duriable.
