Deathwing

Some of these pictures I've had up here before, but I thought it was time to try and put up a proper WIP thread.

 

This is my take on the Deathwing. Some weathering and also each and everyone will have unique head as far as possible to put some personality into them.

I chouse lava bases as a nice contrast with the black stone and glossy redish lava. The idea is to keep build into Dark Angels and maybe even Ravenwing later, where each wing will have it's own type of bases to group them together better.

Dark Angels are next, and they will be fielded on a kind of castle/cathedral-like floor-tile base.

 

And now for some pictures. To be honest, and not to glorify myself, these pictures don't do the minis justice. I need to get a hold of a better camera and some better way to actually set up my photos.

 

First up. The Cyclone-dude cyborg dude with the Forge World Cybernetic head.

I have another dreadnought and another 5 terminators prepared for painting coming right up, hopefully. (I'm also working on an army of Ogre Kingdoms and have alot to do with bands, school etc now... Real Life it's called I think).

I thi k they're coming along great, my only gripe is the power armoured helmet with terminator armour, just doesn't do it for me, but that's it.

I forgot this:

I have also starting on bashing my Chaplain together using different bits that I find cool. I'm waiting for the Chaos Lord arm with mounted bolter from Forge World too.

His head is made with the From The Warp-guide as inspiration. He will be accompanied by his own retinue of Lightning Claw-wielding Deathwing terminators, all with skull helmets but in the regular bone colour (unlike the chaplain himself who will of course wear black) and they will be mounted in a Land Raider.

What power armored helmet for terminator armor? I'm not very fond of that either, that's why none of them wear a power armored helmet? :S

I apologise sir, I looked more closely and realised it weren't a power amoured helmet, so again apologees. Chaplain looks good too

Photos: Not bad but put a sheet of paper underneath and behind the minis to help the camera focus and pick up colors better.

 

Painting: You have a few mold lines but overall they look good. Are you against doing decals or can you just not find enough. (I have some I can send you)(And the FW transfer sheet has more than you will ever use.) In anycase, post up pictures of the freehanded symbols please.
