recon0321
Would it be a big problem if a DIY chapter used their adcendants icon? For example I was thinking a DA successor that still uses the winged sword icon...sorta like a way of paying tribute to their forefathers? Brother-Sergeant Bohemond
As long as the Chapters Colour is different, I think you should be fine, ie: no white winged sword on Green. A white winged sword on Red would be fine. So, yes. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243095-successor-chapter/#findComment-2938767 Share on other sites

Brother Tyler
I think it's a solid idea. The only caveat I would make is that the overall result of the livery should be distinct from the progenitor. So a Dark Angels Chapter Successor might have green armour and change the color of the badge (or one part of the badge), or they might reverse that to keep the white badge on armour of a color other than green. Alternately, you might keep the armour and badge in the same color, but change something else that provides a significant difference such as adding something to the badge (like a laurel, iron halo, etc.). There are lots of ways you can create that distinctiveness, and the level of distinctiveness is entirely up to you.
