Son of Rawl
The Armour shown in 16 looks really ornate, didn't really see Iron Warriors as having such crafted armour given their seige rolls but we shall see, today looks as though we will see an actual marine so we may know one of the Legions today :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243341-on-the-first-day-of-christmas/page/3/#findComment-2945464 Share on other sites

Elric the Silvercoat
He has a lady painted on his shield....weird. That is almost un Space Marine. And is that a power fist or thunder hammer smashing the guy on the right? Son of Rawl
That is a weird drawing on the sheild, wonder what it is supposed to represent. It could be a powerfist, lightning claw, or thunder hammer by the look of it, it does have a electric discharge so it is a power weapon of some sort. Looking carefully you can see whoever the Fist is wailing on also has a storm sheild...defo think they are against Iron Warriors now. If you look at day 2 you can see warning stripes on the vambrace. EDIT: In days 14 and 15 we have warning stripes too. Olis
I'm thinking the picture is a boarding action by Imperial Fists on an Iron Warriors vessel, during the Battle of Phall. That's right, you can now call me Captain (Sherlock) Obvious. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243341-on-the-first-day-of-christmas/page/3/#findComment-2945660 Share on other sites
Dosjetka
Oh, so it's Fists Vs. Iron Warriors... No Foes Remain
Updatet the pic on the first page. What kind of armour is that on todays picture? Looks like Mk 2 Helmet, but the rest is obscure by the bording shield. And it looks like a power fist smashing the snot out of a guy on the right, but the wielder of the fist is out of shot of the picture. TennisBall
mkII or mkIII, probably mkIII as that would be more appropriate for a boarding action. Other marine likely has a power fist as he has a boarding shield in the other hand and he seems to be punching through the back of some Iron Warrior. Woman on shield? Weird, seems out of place at this time given that there were no saints or other religious figures officially recognized at this point unless it's the very early stages of the Imperial Cult being accepted. Revelation
The lady on that shield is probably that Space Marines ex girlfriend, some local tail he got and can't forget from one his expeditions <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243341-on-the-first-day-of-christmas/page/3/#findComment-2945881 Share on other sites
Pulse
The artwork on the shield is very Roman - on a very loose connection it might have a link to the Imperial Fists earliest battle victory "Roma". esinhorn
Nah the artist likes to use renesannce art on the astartes, look at the cover of Horus Rising there is a similar picture but with a King and Queen on the SoH right pauldron. MagicMan
Looks like a rennaisance picture of a King/Emperor to me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243341-on-the-first-day-of-christmas/page/3/#findComment-2946185 Share on other sites
Zincite
He has a lady painted on his shield....weird. That is almost un Space Marine. Is that a woman, or just a thin man with his hair tied up? The head looks quite male in its features, but it's hard to make out any detail below the neck, which is generally a firm indicator of gender. Even if it was a woman, it's hardly odd. After all, it could be a hero of the Sisters of Silence, or some great founder of the arts. Saints don't exist yet though, so that's ruled out. It's likely a servant would have decorated the armour/shield, and said servant could have drawn inspiration from any place. In fact, I'm more worried about the fact that the Imperial Fist has a Tzeetch rune on his helm than the woman. ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243341-on-the-first-day-of-christmas/page/3/#findComment-2946221 Share on other sites
Pulse
Looks like a rennaisance picture of a King/Emperor to me. No way is that renaissance, the quality of the human form is too crude. Zincite
No way is that renaissance, the quality of the human form is too crude. Ah, well, you know. In the 31st Millennium it's probably called 'raninsanse' art and is about trying to draw as badly as possible. TennisBall
The painting of the praying woman looks mediaeval. She appears to be wearing a dress that is parti-coloured. Half the dress is one colour, half another. Grimdarkness
Well dec 1 looks like a UM shoulder. Well I was wrong on that one. In fact, I'm more worried about the fact that the Imperial Fist has a Tzeetch rune on his helm than the woman. It,s not its the legion icon with wings. It,s repeated on the shield as a bigger icon.
