On the first day of Christmas....

It would be cool if it was, but it doesn't really expalin why the Fists are boarding their own flag ship though.

Wonder if Perturabo will make an apperance, Dorn didn't really leave Terra at al during the Heresy so we can count him out, hoping also we see hints and nods to the Crimson that will as we have seen Sigismund and his personal icon already.

There are three boxes left.

23 will just fill in the details of the boarding party.

24 either more filler or some interesting part of the space battle.

25 is going to reveal the identity of the boarding party commander and may also show what is shooting at the Imperial Fist ship in 20.

Seeing the picture im sure its the Phalanx

Been there, have you?

Ludovic

Shhhh thats a secret :P

Well i just read the description of the Phalanx 2 or so days ago and the picture looks like what was decribed. As to why they are boarding their own ship:maybe they're coming from a hall thats out of the picture to flank the intruders

I highly doubt it would be Sigismund as he wore black armour with his Templar iconography - could be another leading Imperial Fist though, possibly another Captain?

I thought that was only on one shoulder pad he had the iconography on?

Any reason it couldnt be Dorn himself? It is pure conjecture at this point where and when this battle is taking place.

Also, maybe this fluff has been retconned, but arent those ships in the background anachronous? Battlefleet Gothic fluff, IIRC, talked about how all the Chaos ships in 40k are actually the older Imperial ships, and the 'modern' Imperial designs only came about quite after the Heresy. Therefore, shouldnt the ships in the background of this pic look like the older Chaos ships as represented in BFG? I know GW likes to ignore BFG (unfortunately), and an artistic oversight that is inconsistent with fluff is surely the prime suspect, but I bring it up to ask if anyone knows about the aforementioned fluff being retconned.

Nit picking. Its early.

Courage and Honour.

Dorn was really busy with the Veteran Imperial Fist companies with the Defence of Terra, while a few led by Sigismund where that Mars to secure area there & another lot of Imperial Fist went to Isstvan where the Phall System happen against the Iron Warriors. Or so Lexicanum say:

I have to say that I doubt its Dorn (and would be very disappointed if it was meant to be), the armour is nowhere near ornate enough and it looks to be the wrong colour, actual yellow instead of brass/gold.

The Primarchs anthology artwork shows that Dorn is still being depicted along the lines of John Blanche's sketch (featured in HH:CV) and all of the descriptions of his armour so far depict it as burnished brass/gold (putting me in mind of the armour the Custodes are depicted wearing).
