If there's only a 15% chance of something happening on 25 different occasions, there's a possibility that it won't happen at all. With the White Scars, it's a fact that they (and their Successors) make up 10% of the Chapters. I'm by no means a statistics guy, but I would think the most likely probability is that it would only happen 4 times (or so) over 25 Foundings (15% translating to occurring 15 times out of 100 attempts, meaning only 4.25 times out of 25 attempts). But even if I'm completely wrong above, there's also the fact that the percentage tables themselves are not necessarily true to the fluff. There's a 9% chance of your Chapter dating to M36, a millennium that saw nine different Foundings. But you also have a 9% chance of dating back to M34 and a 9% chance of dating back to M35. This, despite the fact that M34 and M35 combined saw only FIVE Foundings. That doesn't make sense, does it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
