henrywalker
I made a thread a few days ago about this new model I bought http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?a...of_rome_p05.jpg I've been looking for a use for him and I was just reading about grand master mandulis, the guy who died banishing garguloth. I have a few questions. Is there any fluff other than the grey knights novel concerning mandulis? He has a lightning bolt shaped sword which I really like the idea of. Any idea how I could model this? Any ideas for rules? I'm not sure if I want to make a fairly Normal hq or if I prefer to make a more apocalypse scale hq. along the lines of a primarch. Ay other thoughts also welcome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243597-grand-master-mandulis/ Share on other sites
henrywalker
Upon rereading the novel I'm confused about the sword. When the sword is actually present there is no mention of it being a lightning shape, rather it talks of a golden lightning bolt wrought upon the blade. However there is a whole plot device where the demon can only be killed by the lightning bolt and they seem to talk about the sword as if it actually were a lightning bolt shape, ie zigzag. This was the impression I always had and I do quite like the idea. "garguloth can only be killed by a 'lightning bolt'. The nemesis sword mandolis used was fashioned into a Lightning bolt" This suggests it is bolt shaped "the stylized golden lightning bolt set into its silver blade glowing with power." Does anyone know anything else Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/243597-grand-master-mandulis/#findComment-2945426 Share on other sites
