Eagle Warriors WIP

Hey all, I have been planning to start a Eagle Warrior marine army for quite a while. And now I have my first minis to show, not finished yet, but you can see where it is going.

I am trying to paint them like they have been through hell (battle damage, mud and rubble). So they will not look very clean (not an excuse for crappy painting! :) ).

Anyway, got a WIP dread 2 WIP marines and 1 finished marine. Just wanting to share some pics and if anyone wants to give some feedback for improvement, let me know!

Ohw yeh, photos are taken with phone, next might be with real camera. they... just... might...!

First off thanks for the comments, I'll load more up as soon as possible (probably after the holidays).

@rob

The white I did as following:

1: black undercoat (white might be better, but didn't had it at the moment )

2: codex grey

3: 50/50 white/codex grey over the codex grey (not in the recesses) followed by a codex grey wash.

4: glazing with dessert yellow, just everywhere you want, doesn't have to be that neat.

5: paint over de yellow with 70/30 white/codex grey. Use watered down paint so the yellowshowsa bit through.

6: start high lighting to own insight en applying darker tones whereyou want the shadow. .I use graveyard earth for dirtier wash.

7: for damage I used a sponge with codex grey and high lighted that with skull white.

I basically used the following tutorial: Tutorial Link] changed it a bit, Im not as good as that guy so simplified it a bit to my best ability <_<
