chappy/ libby color question

Say for a second i wanted to paint up some Loyalist marines (false god-emperor worshiping wimps) and i wanted to add a Libby and or a chaplain to the force, whats the best way to show that they belong to that chapter. Shoulder guards painted in chapter colors, and mabye the helmet? If im not wrong a Librarian wears blue and a chaplain is black correct? Thanks all and sorry if this has been asked alot, im new to the whole loyalist color stuff.

I think the usual way to do it is have a shoulder pad in the chapter's colours, with some people adding a little variation to the theme just to mix things up as they see fit. My DiY chapter has a very Crimson Fist-y left red arm - so does my libby (which, incidentally, makes him look the most Crimson Fisty out of the lot ;)).

Yep blue armour for the libby and black for the chappy, add in some chapter symbolism, esp. on the shoulder pads and a few details alluding to your colour scheme.

Chaplains are all-black with a Chapter badge on whatever shoulder is available.

 

A Librarian can be in the Chapter's colors with the hood, the helmet and one arm painted blue (my preferred scheme).

I just paint them in the same scheme as the rest of the army. I don't like the look of one blue model in an army of black and yellow. Looks off and not part of the group. Loyalist to a point but for me aesthetics wins out.
