Tyrannicide
Your version of Dorn is literally on par, (if not better!) than FW's Angron sculpt. Bravo mate! :D Cannot wait to see paint on that.

Bent wire? Chain links? My Heresy era Space Wolves must know! Thank you for sharing your work. It's helped to inspire my own army right now. AlexCrute
See now if Forgeworld's Dorn ends up disappointing me (not that that's likely), I can always copy this one. I am in a happy place right now.
the damned artificer
damn...thats seriously awesome brother ^_^ your modelling and eye for detail created a fantastic golden imperial pimp hand ;) Haha the golden imperial pimp hand of the banana boy legion XD And thanks man. I suspect that whomever pulled the job of doing FW's Dorn might see this and have an aneurysm, stellar work :D Thanks for the high praise, but I doubt I could match whoever they get to sculpt Dorn, FW have some pretty amazing sculptors ;) Much awesomeness is found herein! Maybe with some big rods pinned to a board to bend the thread around that might work, and then you just cut them into the desired shape with pliers afterwards :) See now if Forgeworld's Dorn ends up disappointing me (not that that's likely), I can always copy this one. I am in a happy place right now. Hehe I hope they are descent and at least waits a few years before doing Dorn so I don't have to retire mine too soon XD And if it ends up disappointing (I doubt it though) I'll have mine :P But I am countingon the Dorn model they eventually do will be awesome, so he might be a showpiece only, but only time will tell :P

urifici
Awesome job!!!! I love DORN!!!! awesome seriously!! About Agron, I like it very much too but I think he isn't enough shiny! but the blood! how did you do that????, can you explain it please? very good job sir! Lachdannan
Very cool paintjob and as mentioned that blood spray is impressive. Like others I'd like to know more about that! As for blood itself, do you Tamiya Red Ink or something different? Either way great job.
the damned artificer
Thanks guys, and Thunder_god you are very welcome mate :) About the lack of shine I decided I liked a muted brass look better :) The blood is clear styrene manipulated over a naked flame (it takes a few tries to get a good shape), cut it to the desired length, glue it in place and cover with tamiya clear red, easy and effective :D
augustmanifesto
Awesome work! Would you mind explaining how you work with chain? in particular, how do you fix it in place and secure it to the model (just looking at your work, I can see at least two techniques, I think). Thanks!
aurelian
Splendid work. What I like most about your Dorn is that his armour is not an oversized terminator suit, like all other interpretations of Dorn that I've ever seen. This way he looks like a primarch, not a tank on two legs. Also, unique, innovative, imaginative. Thank you for showing us.

Would you mind explaining how you work with chain? in particular, how do you fix it in place and secure it to the model (just looking at your work, I can see at least two techniques, I think). Thanks! Well these are several ways to do it, I made small brass mountings for his scabbard and belt and when I had the chain in place I fixed each link with a tiny amount of superglue for this model  Splendid work. What I like most about your Dorn is that his armour is not an oversized terminator suit, like all other interpretations of Dorn that I've ever seen. This way he looks like a primarch, not a tank on two legs. Also, unique, innovative, imaginative. Thank you for showing us. Yeah I never liked the terminator version of Dorn, and the silly fishermen beard doesn't fly imo either, so I made him more like the classic description :( And thank you :)
