I really like that landspeeder conversion mate, I hope you took some WIP pics!

Yeah mate I made that a few years ago, so there's a lot of pics of it :D

Nice to se you back with you IF mate, and lovely work with the etched brass for the EC. I can never get such good results with the stuff.

Thanks man, you just need to gt the hang of it and brass etch will be a great way to add sharp detail to models.

That is a rich and arrogant purple! Perfect for the Emperor's Children!

Thanks mate, I'm pretty pleased with it as well :)

I love that you've shaded the gold with purple. Ties the mini together so well. Is there a hint of metallic to that purple?

Thanks it was exactly what I was trying to achieve, and no the shine on the purple is from the purple ink, it might get dulled down a bit later.

Mh. Must admit, I'm not a fan. Shading the gold with yet more purple doesn't work for me.

It's an aquired taste I think, I often shade gold with purple to enrich it, but on a non purple model the gold doesn't seem as purple as it isn't accentuated as much by the colour next to it. I personally was just tiredto death of seeing lavender coloured EC with boring gold, so I went a different direction :P

is that a metalic effect? looks realy cool mate any chance of you revealing your method?

Thanks :) And no the purple is not metallic, the shine is from the ink used. The model s primed grey and preshaded black, then airbrushed VGA hexed lichen, highlighted with VMC royal purple and then the transitions are softened a bit by airbrushing on thin layers of VGC purple ink and working it from the darkest areas and out. The model is then edge highlighted on prominent edges with VMA UK P.R.U. blue. The last step might seem weird as this colour is a turquoise-ish tone, but it works really well when applied.

love your work, those IF.... Simply stunning.

Re the EC tester, that purple looks fantastic, but the gold looks messy, like you spilt purple. Was this intentional?

Thanks man, and yeah the purple on the gold is intentional, it doesn't look messy irl, the camera just amplifies the purple shine a bit.

I think you got the Emperor's Children spot on there mate, really does look regale.

Thanks mate :D Can't wait to see how a squad looks fully based and all.

So much better than forge worlds Siguismund and I actually really like forge worlds Siguismund biggrin.png

Did you just add terminator legs to regular space marine torso and limbs? For if so, that seems like an easy and effective way of truescaling. Please share some info :)

I added the legs and buffed out the torso a bit and also added a bit of girth to the arms, but I did not intend for him to be true scale, just to be a lot more buff than his FW counterpart :)

Stunning. Any chance that you'd be willing to share your recipe for yellow?

I don't really have a recipe, it involved a lot of tweaking to get it like I wanted it.

It is something along the line of this: basecoat is tausept ochre, then 50/50 vallejo model color flat yellow, blend up to pure flat yellow and then add some white, saturate the yellow with vmc transparent yellw, highlight up again. All this is done with airbrush. shading is done with amethyst wash (dark purple) from secret weapon minis and then a lot of brush highlighting and more shading, tweaking, highlighting, tweaking and so on until I liked the look :)

I also finished Typhon:

and also did some tweaks to my old IF contemptor:
