I think you could do better with pushing the contrast a little; Try shading the gems down to close to black near the white highlight and up toward white more at the caustic - the higher the contrast the shinier / more translucent they'll seem. Same on the general highlighting, put a little blue wash into the deep recesses on the armour and bring the edges up a bit tighter, and it'll look less plasticky. Is that a word? I dunno. Bit more brown wash (maybe 50-50 devlan / leviathan purple) on the gold, and highlight up with a little gold/silver just on the extremes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
