Brother Captain Kezef
I never take a Grandmaster without a heavy weapon. I like to make best use of his ballistic skill. Dosjetka
Uhm, is it just me, or Nemesis Daemon hammers do not reduce the model's initiative so basically, when giving a Grand Master a Daemon hammer, you've got three S8 I5 attacks? Or has this been changed in one of the FAQ's? Or do I just not know how to read? :) Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244069-should-i-kit-out-my-grand-master/page/2/#findComment-2953580 Share on other sites

The only exception is when the Daemon hammer is wielded by a Dreadknight, who may still use it at his own Initiative value, as described in the Daemon hammer rules. I didn't read the entry properly  Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/244069-should-i-kit-out-my-grand-master/page/2/#findComment-2953721 Share on other sites
Chengar Qordath
I never take a Grandmaster without a heavy weapon. I like to make best use of his ballistic skill. I've never been a big fan of heavy weapons on the GKGM; yeah, BS 6 is nice and all, but for the price of slapping a Psycannon on him, I could get 4 psycannons elsewhere in my army, and still have points to spare. RedemptionNL
Yeah, likewise, as there's so many good upgrades in the GK codex you can buy out of that investment, I pretty much always stick to a storm bolter or incinerator for my Grand Master. Exactly my sentiments on the issue, which I have voiced in multiple threads. GKT pay 25 points for a Psycannon, so I could see maybe paying 30 for one on a GM; 45 is way too much. For me it's the stock Storm Bolter or a cheap as dirt Incinerator.
