Sons of the Forge
Sons of the Forge -Ultramarine Successor -25th Founding active since early M40 -patrols local systems defending against mostly xenos and rebel threats The Sons of the Forge chapter are a late 25th founding chapter of Ultramarine geneseed notable for being used to feild test the latest weapon technology developed by the local forgeworld. Geneseed is stable with all implants working to full effect. The only slight flaw is in the Melanchromic Organ which makes all marines in the chapter have dark brown skin. The chapter is a codex chapter in all respects. The Chapter as a whole focuses on using huge and deverstating guns like plasma cannons and missile launchers to eradicate the enemy at range. While the chapters 1st company have few Vanguard veterans the 1st company has a higher percentage then normal of Sternguard Veterans due to the chapter as a whole prefering ranged combat. Dispite the focus on ranged combat the chapter can still hold its weight in some of the bloodiest close combats if need be. The chapter only has a single battle barge The Forges Wrath. This means compared to other chapters they have a very small battle record of little real notice due to lack of getting to battles of any real importance beyond helping defend local systerms. Despite being just less then 2000 years old the Sons of the Forge already have access to large amounts of power armour, weapons and ammo due to the chapters homeworld being located within the same systerm as a productive forgeworld. This would go in some ways of explaining how the chapter can in certain battles deploy larger numbers of Sternguard amd normal marines armed with large numbers of heavy weapons notably Plasma Cannons and different types of ammo. The Techmarines also for reasons unknown have a few Praetorian Servitors to act as heavy weapon platforms on loan from the local forgeworld to increase the chapters amount of heavy guns without going over the 1000 marines limit the Codex Astartes imposes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Systerm: Plagnous Systerm Sub Sector: Unknown Sector: Unknown Segmentum: Segmentum Pacificus They are based on an ocean world in a systerm of 5 worlds: Raro 1st planet in the systerm is a desolute hot dead world as its to close to the sun to support life. It does have three research stations looking for mineral wealth to be exploited both joint funded by Quaptro potroleum businesses and the Adeptus Mechanicus of the forge world Plagnous IX. The forge world Plagnous IX 2nd planet in the systerm which known for its expectise in plasma weaponary which it gives a generous amount to the Sons of the Forge chapter in exchange for there protection. It gains a large number of its work force from excess population which are rounded up and shipped off to keep population levels down to managable levels and prisioners who are normally turned into sevitors or test subjects for new technology as punishment for their crimes from both Quaptro and Plagnous VIII. The chapters homeworld and aguaculture world Quaptro 3rd planet in the syaterm which produces protroleum from massivly ancient oil rigs. Most of the population live on the rigs producing protroleum or in the massive harvest fleets which capture the abundent sea life or quaptro weed for home production or exporting which makes the world self supporting with a healthy export surplus making the world elite moderatly wealthy and the masses with poor to moderate living standards compared to the rest of the Imperium due to the tax exempt status provided by being a chapter homeworld. The chapter monastry is located on the single island that exists on the planet but due to the islands small size 3/4 of the monastry is either underground or underwater. Mining world Plagnous VIII 4th panet in the systerm controlled by Plagnous due to the huge amounts of raw metals and meterials needed to produce high quality plasma weaponary and other weapons and goods needed by the systerm. The population is made up of mining colonies under the harsh rule of Plagnous IX. If riots occur or quotas not met punishments are swiftly dealt out. Thus Plagnous VIII provides the raw materials and man power to Plagnous IX which sends its finished goods to both Plagnous VIII, Quaptro and the surrounding local systems. Quaptro provides food, fuel and protection to both the other worlds. creating a natural and healthy relationship between the worlds for protection and trade. Xerk a dead, cold and very small world on the edge of the systerm. The world has no use or population as of this date. It is belived to be cursed by the local popultion within the systerm.
