And while I was getting my area terrain on, I added this Citadel Wood:

As my board is pretty barren, I went with the petrified tree look. A lush forest would look out of place.

And of course, can't have a piece of 40k terrain without skulls!

It's a nice piece of kit; easy and quick to assemble and paint. I like the fact that the trees are removable, makes them very playable. I may just have to get a second set some time in the future. But I'm going to finish this current pile of terrain first. B)

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

Finished another piece over the weekend: the Blastscape. Sadly the low sun kind of drowns out the colours in the photos a little bit.

Nice bit of kit, even if it is a little less playable due to all the uneven surfaces and non-removable trees.

Aww, poor Rhinosaur fossil! :(

Looks like you have an excellent gaming table there, can't wait to see what else you come up with for it. Me, if I play at home once my brother gets a playable army too I guess I'll have to make do with the kitchen table and probably buildings made out of lego bricks, hah :P

  • 3 months later...

Been a while since the last update; been painting up some of my 'Nids and of course the season holidays took their toll on hobby time. :) But, continuing with the game table:

I got a few pieces of leftover 6mm trespa plates from a friend who works at a company where the sell the stuff. This stuff is rocksolid and doesn't warp at all, so while expensive if you would have to buy it, it's ideal stuff to use as a base.

Bevelled the edges with a dremel and glued some modelling sand to add texture for drybrushing it later.

And added some textured plasticard to the manifactorium floor. More details like some computer consoles and such will be added later, but for ease of painting it's empty for now.
