Cerulean Executioners-ultramarine blog WIP

Recommended Posts

Let me start of with a bright HELLO to the marines of the B&C. I have returned after being buried by numerous texts of ridiculous college material. I found time during the break to set up my station and spent the wee hours of the morning and burning the midnight oil while catching up on the Walking Dead.

Now, i have been thinking of coming up with a new chapter. Ive thought up quite a few and none of them have really took off (the renegade Brass Gladiators, the Japanese-inspired Sol Katanas). This new chapter took off, and has a more realistic story than the outlandish couple I mentioned.

Imagine taking Flesh Tearers and Ultramarines and mesh them together, give them a chain axe and assault pack (their namesake, of course) and make them really bloody and angry. And BAM! You get the Executioners.

I have pictures and will be posting them soon (I'm typing this from my iPhone).

Hey, sorry it's been a while in getting back in the forum. Also been a bit late on the photos, but I have a few now.

This is Brother Caulorn, infamous for his classic AOBR melta and powerfist combo. I have amateur paint skills, so bear with me on the terrible job. Most of my guys are this way, so I try to make up for it with huge amounts of mud and blood with a weird watered-downed black wash mixed with a bit of gloss, to give it a wet and dirty look.

Um, sorry but I'm doing this via iPhone, so I don't know how to upload pictures, I'll try to do it later!

*EDIT: Fixed your image for you. -- Kurgan *

I am doing a DIY Chapter. I have bio somewhere here in my blog...ah, here it is! (Note: it's old so I may need to critique) Made in times when it was lean on the subways...

Cerulean Executioners Chapter

During in the wake of the 27th Founding, Marneus Calgar, by the High Lords of Terra's consent, splintered off a number of his Ultramarines, most particularly their bloodiest and vicious sons, into a new Chapter. As a recent development to counter the increasing number of ork activites in the Segmentum Obscurus, but to allow this counter as a separate standard command, the Cerulean Executioners Chapter, lead by the 7th Company Commander Vorcalis Ixion, their former Chief Victualler, decided to take command of this new army, recognizing its potential to the growing ork threat

Campaign

In their first year, 756.M41, they deployed in the Cruxis System, where a number of ork warbosses had taken control of the climatic monsoon Forge World, Tibatea, which held crucial manufactories that supplied the ports of Hyrdaphur with shipware. However, after their first encounter with the orks, they had discovered that evidence of genestealer characteristics within both the human inhabitants and ork invaders, first in a supply mill and soon after a material Silo manufactorum.

Ixion, fearful of the origin of the genestealer threat, had decided to pull off his assaulting forces and had them bunker down in their defensive positions, in the mud plains of Tibatea's equator continent. He had also sent couriers to seek Calgar's consul, as well as a request for reinforcements to deal with the new threat.

As a reaction to the discovery, Calgar had halved his 10th Scout company to the Ceruleans to accept the new gene-seeds the Mechanicus had made, as well had sent the White Consuls and Doom Eagles to help their troubled new Chapter sibling. Despite the overwhelming odds of the opposing forces, he declined the help of the Imperial Guard armies, seeing it as opportunity for widespread genestealer cults.

Thanks, Kurgan! Hope I can do it on the go again...

Now, here's Assault Squad Orion, sporting the blue and white heraldry of the Executioners and so mucked up in blood and mud.

Sergeant Orion, with plas-pistol and p-sword. Notice how the eye-lenses are really bloody? Yeah, that was my sloppy-job cover-up for lenses. Still, I think it's pretty rad.

Brother Kurgan, with flamer (I plan for later flamers to be all silver, like Pasanius's in Ultramarines)

Oh, if you guys have any info on getting custom herald/logo symbols for shoulder pads, please let me know!

One last thing for today, my WIP AOBR Captain that I converted with ridiculous items I found in my dormmates' bitz box.

Captain Angeulos (Sword replaced with Nemesis Blade and custom-made combi-melta my friend made when I asked him. Looks ridiculous in my opinion.) Also, I gave his bald-pate something to be proud of: the first plated-fur hat!
